Former U.S. international star Jozy Altidore had joined the Bills ownership group, he announced on social media. The former Toronto FC, Sunderland, AZ Alkmaar forward is a lifelong NFL fan, and has invested in the franchise alongside NBA legends Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter.

Altidore joins an ever expanding field of NFL and soccer interlocking. Over the past few years, former football stars such as JJ Watt and Tom Brady have invested in lower league English clubs. Meanwhile, long-time soccer veterans like Harry Kane have made their NFL interest clear – with the England captain alluding to his desire to finish his athletic career as a kicker in the NFL.
