Battlefield 6 Reveals Stunning Look at Single-Player Campaign

Battlefield 6 has given players a glimpse of what they can expect from the game’s single-player campaign. The new Battlefield 6 trailer introduces characters, plot points, and showcases some of the gunplay and destruction that the franchise is known for.

While gamers enjoying FPS games like Battlefield 6 tend to find most of their replayability in the online competitive modes, the story nonetheless plays a huge role in many players’ enjoyment of the game. Battlefield 6‘s single-player mode is connected to its multiplayer component all the same, with the single-player campaign bringing players to “locales and battles” that make up Battlefield 6‘s All-Out Warfare multiplayer modes.

Battlefield 6 Teases Single-Player Mode and Story

Now, with the release of a new trailer, players have a better idea of what to expect from Battlefield 6‘s single-player component. Players will take up the ranks of Dagger 13, a squad of elite Marine Raiders that’s attempting to stop a private military corporation called Pax Armata, which is taking advantage of NATO fracturing. This mode will also see the return of a singular narrative, versus the War Stories episodic experience players may be familiar with from Battlefield 1 through Battlefield 5. The new trailer give players a glimpse at the places they’ll be battling in, which will span four continents, and includes famous places like the Great Pyramids of Egypt.

The Dagger 13 squad consists of four members, which have also been given a proper introduction. Haz Carter is the Assault member and leader of the Dagger 13 squad. He’s best known for athletic prowess and survival skills. Dylan Murphy is the Engineer, who uses strategic thinking on the battlefield. Simone “Gecko” Espina gained hunting expertise in her youth, became a Special Forces Operator, and is now the newest member of Dagger 13, taking up its Recon role. Cliff Lopez enters as the squad’s Support member. Lucas Hemlock was also introduced, known only as a mysterious CIA Operator that’s willing to do anything for his country. Players will be able to swap between the members of Dagger 13, utilizing each character’s unique abilities and skills of Battlefield 6, whether players prefer to snipe from a distance or take things on up-close.

As the single-player campaign will be available at launch, players can dive in and immediately discover what makes Dagger 13 tick as a squad. However, players should also be aware that while the single-player campaign does not offer multiplayer of any form, an internet connection is required in order to play. Given recent concerns regarding video games becoming unplayable when servers eventually go offline, this may concern some players. It’s possible that changes may be made in the future to change that, should the servers eventually go offline. For now, though, that’s a distant concern, with Battlefield 6 launching on October 10, 2025.
